The group supports and affiliates with Band Davion, the Universal Artists, the L.A. Gals, the Stir Fried Maggots, and the Amazing Gang.
History
2014: Start of the gang
The Rodfellows characters were conceived by Danny Lyons on March 17, 2014. Around the time, a short was released. The first series started in April 2014 and ended in June. To follow up, some classic episodes were remade in Flash, suggesting a potential reboot.
2015–2017: Improved animation
In March 2015, a short-lived series of 4 episodes was made. The franchise remained dormant until around July 2015, when new assets were made for The Rodfellows Improved, the next series of the franchise. TRFI featured other copyrighted characters from the likes of the Looney Tunes and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises.
2017–2018: Departures of Samantha, Finniette, and Ruthie / Character redesigns
By 2017, the franchise once again entered dormancy, with Samantha, Finniette and Ruthie making their departures to make room for Kody. The Disney Rodfellows Movie, a near-carbon copy of Stitch! was released in May. Seasonal specials did keep the franchise alive later on in the year, with a huge asset overhaul coming in December of that year. The last production to use the legacy/TRFI assets was Thanksgiving with the Rodfellows.
2018–2019: The Rodfellows: Back Again! and film production
In May of 2018, an announcement regarding a reboot of the franchise was posted onto Dan P. Lyons' YouTube channel. Around that time, the reboot was given the name: The Rodfellows: Back Again! and entered production. The series was the last to use text-to-speech voices, and starting with episode 3, Dan himself took over voicing the characters.
2019–present: Expansion
In August 2019, a feature film titled The Rodfellows Movie was reported to be in production and a script for the film was being written by Dan along with Darren A. Nichols. On October 18, that same year, Fredbear Studios (at the time) acquired the DLE Coroporation, along with Pip Pip Enterprises, Inc. and French Fry Animations, giving them IP rights to The Rodfellows.
In late December 2019, it was reported that Samantha Hayla would be returning to the group along with new member Akihiro Wantanabe, with Finniette Stencon and Ruthie Reyes following on early next year due to popular demand.
Two new members, Gideon Fredericks and Camden Lorentz, were added to the gang in May 2020, followed by three more, Mevin Sablich, Joan Griffin, and Napoleon Abbot in August 2020, bringing the total member count to 15.
2020–2021: Cancelled shift to mixed audience.
In September 2020, Harmonic announced their intent to shift the Jungle Forest Gang franchise into a mixed audience. Reasons cited for the shift included the major backlash that struck the Netflix film Cuties for sexualizing underage girls as a result of the initial poster that was made before it was changed. In result, GlideFan was highly scared by this because he felt that Harmonic would get backlash and have a similar Cuties controversy of their own. However Lyons, Nichols, Mortensen, and Bourne have all approved the idea, but this is yet to take effect under further investigation by both Mikkelson and Michael Grover.
Nick Fischer, of BTP Enterprises criticized the mixed audience shift by stating that the DLE took a franchise meant for kids and planned to turn it into a "modern Family Guy 2.0".
2021–2023: Rebrand to Jungle Forest Gang
On May 20, 2021, LMNB announced that the Rodfellows name would be retired after seven years due to the name being controversial because it ripped off Mondo Media's Bedfellows. The group would be rebranded to The Jungle Forest Gang. That following month, Joan Griffin departed from the group due to the creators losing the rights to use her in said media, as the character was originally created by Thunderbird. Her spot was taken over by Maksim "Mac" Smirnov.
On February 26, 2022, longtime original member Ruthie Reyes was ousted from the gang for sexual harassment, violence, and physical intimidation towards fellow member HB Wolfgang and then TDC member Phillop M.T. Parker IV. She was arrested that same day and her spot was filled in by newcomer Roxanne "Roxvix" Brady, who also did a video exposing Reyes for her actions on March 4, 2022.
On December 18, 2022, Gideon Fredericks and Napoleon Abbot were let go from the gang and were replaced by newcomers Riccardo Giordano and Claire Myers, respectively.
2023–present: Breakup and second rebrand to SDH Triplicity
On January 5, 2023, the JFG disbanded due to several instances of controversies, drama, downfalls, misinformation, harassment, and lack of motivation and activity alongside the Data Crew, which would later be retooled by Mirabel Wieland
However, not too long after that in the same month, longtime cartoonist duo Danny Lyons and Darren Nichols reunited after being separated for a total of 14 months. In addition, it was confirmed that the Jungle Forest Gang would be rebranded once again into SDH Triplicity, with its member count reduced down from 15 to 12. Finto, Kody, and Samantha remained as the lead honchos, while Akihiro, Camden, Willard, James, Alice, Roxvix, Claire, Riccardo, and HB remained as active members. Finniette, Mevin, Maksim, Gideon, and Napoleon were downgraded to supporting members. Former TDC member Diedre "Cheese" Smirnov" later joined in as a supporting member so she can be with her brother full-time.
